Happy Birthday, Emma!

It was Emma's third birthday!
Grandma arrived first.
Jane: I am so angry, I couldn't find any balloons in the shop, I forgot to order it earlier...
Grandma: Never mind! Everything is so pretty.
Jane (laughing): This room is so tiny, at least we don't have to choose: balloons or guests...

Grandma: And where is my sweet little grandchild?
Emma: I am here, Granny!!

Grandma: Happy birthday, Sweetheart!
Emma: I am three years old!
Grandma: True, true... Years have gone...

John and his family arrived.Emma was very happy to see them all together.

Emma got her first gift: flowers in a pot from Willy. (He chose it himself.)

At last but not least Mark arrived with a big smile on his face! He gave his daughter many hugs and kisses.

When they were all together sitting around, Jane brought the birthday cake. It had strawberry cream and three candles.

 Emma blew the candles and everyone clapped and cheered. 

Emma got her gifts. First she opened Grandma's pocket.

She got a little basket and a lovely bunny!

Elinor and John gave Emma a beautiful dress!

She had to try it on immediately! Emma looked like a real little Princess!

Mommy gave Emma a new Hello Kitty doll for her colection...

... and two storybooks about little animals in Sylvanian Families World!

Then Mark brought in his present: a white-pink bicycle! Emma was very-very happy! She always wanted a bike, and pink was her favorite colour at that time.

She put all her gifts onto the bike. It seemed that she won't get off till the end of the day... She told that she would like to sleep with her new bike and toys.

The children began to play, the adults enjoyed the afternoon with a cup of tea or glass of wine.

Jane went to the kitchen to bring some plates and forks for the cake. Elinor followed her.
Elinor: Janey, how are you? You look so wonderful!
Jane: Thank you! I got this new dress from a friend in South Africa! It was very nice of her, I like this outfit very much!
Elinor: Yes, you look fabulous! But I mean: you are so happy! What has happened?

Jane: Oh, Elinor, I had a date on Friday...
Elinor: A date??? Janey, you haven't told this!
Jane: I haven't. I didn't know what will happen. But now... I am so happy...
Elinor: The best news I've heard so long!

John: Hy girls, what are you doing here?
Elinor: We are very happy, that's all!
John: Lizzy wants something from you. Would you please go to her?
Elinor: Sure, I go...

John: Is everything all right, Janey?
Jane: Yes, I am fine, never better.
John: What is going on? Tell me sis.
Jane: I will tell you everything after the party, I promise, as soon as the children went sleeping.
John: Right. So give me a big hug and then a slice of this delicious cake! 
Jane: Right!

They all enjoyed Emma's birthday party, and Jane didn't forgot her promise...

Friday Night Part Two

Jane waited for Charles on the corner by the library. She finished work a bit earlier because she was too excited. But she didn't have to wait long.

Charles: Am I late?
Jane: Oh, no! Hello!
Charles: Hello, Jane!

Charles gave Jane  beautiful bunch of purple roses, and Jane gave a friendly kiss on his cheek.

Charles: Shall we go?
Jane: Oh, yes. I am really curious!
Charles: The name of the pub is The Blue Owl. I hope you will like it.

Charles: My favorite desk is free. Fortunately.

Jane: So cozy and athmospheric!

Charles: I haven't been there for ages...

 

The waitress brought wine and bread. Then they ordered the dinner.

Jane: Did you came back alone to Rosemary Hill?
Charles: Yes. My parents live far and my brother didn't love that place so much as I.
Jane: So you have a brother.
Charles: Yes, he is ten years younger than me. Do you have any siblings?
Jane: I also have a brother, he is five years older than me.

They chatted pleasantly until dinner arrived: fried fish with potatoes and vegetables. 
Jane: It looks and smells delicious!
Charles: Yes, they have a very good chef. I mean if he is the same yet.

They enjoyed the meal and began to know each other. Charles told Jane everything about his job: he has an own business and sells different softwares for medium and large companies. Jane told some interesting thing about reorganization of the library and some other things of her former jobs.

Charles: I see you are a busy and active lady who loves her job.
Jane: I think I am.
Charles: Good to see the joy and gleam in your eyes when you are talking about something.
Jane (becoming red): Thank you.
Charles: And what about private life, what do you do after work... I am sorry maybe I was too nosy.
Jane: Never mind. I have a very important part of my life I haven't spoken yet...
Charles: You made me curious!

Jane: I divorced two years ago. And I have a little daughter.
Charles: Oh, I didn't think you are a mother...
Jane: I...
Charles (laughing): You don't look strict!
Jane (excited): Are you serious?
Charles (offhandedly): How old is she?
Jane: She will be three this weekend.
Charles (kindly): She should be as pretty as you. I hope to meet her one day... if you don't mind. 

Jane: Don't you mind...

Charles (interrupted): I think you are the most beautiful young mother I've ever seen...

Jane (looking down with red cheeks): You are so kind...
Charles: It is not me... It is...

The waitress came.
Charles paid the bill (he didn't want to let Jane pay), and prepared to go home.

They were talking a lot and walking very-very slowly. They didn't want to separate.

Jane: Thank you for this wonderful night!
Charles: I enjoyed it very much! I would love to see you again if...
Jane: Yes, I would love, too...

Charles: You are so beautiful...

Their first kiss was long and sweet. Jane thought the time has stopped and will never go again. 

The hat of Charles and the bag and roses... They all dropped to the ground.

Charles: I think I love you from the first time I saw you on the street. I have been looking for you everywhere...
Jane: Me, too!

A second, third kiss came and many more... They both were so happy than never in their lifetime.

Tara: We have to find you the perfect outfit!
Jane: I don't know what to choose...

Tara: Let me see your dresses!
Jane: Thank you so much for help!

Tara: What about this stunning dress?
Jane: Oh, no, it is too much... Don't forget, we will go to a pub.

Jane: I like this blouse...
Tara: No, no! Next, please!

Tara: I think this will be amazing!
Jane: It is too short...

Jane: And what about this?
Tara: Oh, Jane, you are beautiful! This one will be perfect!

Jane: Thanks for looking after Emma tonight!
Tara: Of course I do! I love you and I am so happy for your date!

Jane: My last date was with Mark more than ten years ago!... I am afraid that I forgot everything...
Tara: About what? You are a wonderful lady, and I want you to find love again so much!

Jane: I love you!
Tara: Me, too, my dear! Go and prepare for the night!
